Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Chairperson, Mayor Solly F. Villalobos stresses out, during the conduct of Disaster Risk Reduction-Climate Change Adaptation Orientation, the importance of increasing the awareness of MDRRMC members in preparing for, and preventing and mitigating the adverse effects of the present hazards in the Municipality of Sto. Niño.
According to Mayor Villalobos, the conduct of this kind of activity is is an opportunity to let our DRR frontliners identify the present hazards in our locality so that they will be able to strengthen their preparedness and strategize preventive and mitigating measures to ensure substantial reduction on mortality, economic loss, and disaster damage to infrastructure and disruption of basic services.
